BlockBeats News, August 13th, according to a source close to the President of the European Commission, Ukraine's allies are considering a gradual easing of sanctions against Russia if a comprehensive ceasefire agreement can be reached.
The source added that if there is a violation of the agreement, sanctions will be reimposed. They hope to immediately reach a 15-day ceasefire agreement (during which sanctions will remain in effect), after which the conflict in Ukraine can be more systematically paused.
In addition, a source from the Italian government stated that they will push for European involvement in Trump's discussion with Putin later today via a video call concerning him and the Ukraine issue.
