BlockBeats News, July 17th, according to the Financial Times, two officials familiar with the negotiation said that if the trade talks with the United States fall through, the European Union is preparing a potential tariff list for the U.S. service industry and export control measures as one of the possible retaliatory measures. The European Commission is drafting this list of measures in response to Trump's tariff policy, which still needs to be submitted to EU countries. In addition, EU countries have been discussing a retaliatory proposal targeting $81 billion worth of U.S. imports (including Boeing aircraft, cars, and bourbon whiskey) and the newly drafted list will further complement this proposal.
